We make the Ocemida Nexis. Every Nexis figure on this page comes from a published H2 Analytics or H2HUBB lab report, linked below. HydroH Pro figures, specs, return terms and price come from HydroH's own product page, read November 1, 2026. We found no published lab report for the HydroH Pro, and we say so wherever its numbers appear.

On paper, the Ocemida Nexis and the HydroH Pro look close: both are portable SPE/PEM bottles that advertise around 8,000 PPB of hydrogen in a 10-minute cycle. The difference is what stands behind those numbers, and what each bottle is like to clean and live with.
Quick verdict
The Ocemida Nexis makes 8,740 PPB in one 10-minute cycle, measured by H2 Analytics and confirmed at 7,700 PPB by a second lab, H2HUBB. The HydroH Pro claims 8,000 PPB in 10 minutes, but its page names no lab and links no report. The Nexis also has a round bottle with a wide opening that is easy to clean, and a lifetime limited warranty. The HydroH Pro holds more water and costs $29 less. We make the Nexis, so open its reports and compare.

Lab-Measured vs Claimed
The Nexis figures come from H2 Analytics in Henderson, Nevada, using static headspace gas chromatography. The HydroH Pro figures come from its product page, which lists 4,000 PPB at 5 minutes and 8,000 PPB at 10 minutes but names no lab and links no report. Here they are side by side, with claimed numbers drawn as hatched bars.
Results in PPB (parts per billion), bars scaled to 10,000 PPB. Nexis: H2 Analytics report H2AR-260616-1, 250 mL fill. A second lab, H2HUBB, measured the Nexis at 7,700 PPB after 10 minutes using a Unisense microsensor, a different method. HydroH Pro: figures as listed on HydroH's product page, November 1, 2026; no lab or report named.
Why a report matters. The only HydroH lab report we found is for its Original bottle. That product page listed 1,600 PPB at 3 minutes and 3,000 PPB at 10 minutes. The H2 Analytics report (PDF) it linked shows 560 PPB at 3 minutes and has no 10-minute test. A number on a page and a number in a report are not the same thing.
Why does any of this matter? Hydrogen escapes as you pour, while you drink and on the way through your digestive tract, so a higher starting concentration leaves more after those losses. That is why we look for at least 6,000 PPB in one 10-minute cycle, backed by a published lab report. The Nexis clears that bar in two separate lab reports. The HydroH Pro may well clear it too, but until HydroH publishes a report, there is no way to check. Our ranking of the best hydrogen water bottles explains the benchmark in full.

Cleaning: Round Bottle, Wide Opening
Every hydrogen bottle needs descaling with a mild citric acid solution every 2 to 4 weeks, and the inside of the bottle needs a proper wash. How easily you can reach inside decides whether that takes two minutes or gets skipped.
The Nexis bottle is round, with a wide opening and rounded inside corners. A brush reaches the bottom, the sides and the electrode in one pass, and there are no corners for residue to collect in.

The Nexis's round bottle and wide opening let a brush reach every inside surface.
The Nexis electrode: an open face with tapered holes and nothing covering the active surface for scale to hide behind.
Electrode. The Nexis electrode is open-face with tapered holes. There are no supports crossing it, so the whole surface makes hydrogen and there are no corners for scale to build up behind.
Membrane. The membrane is the part most likely to wear out. In the Nexis, a platinum-iridium felt layer separates it from your water, so it lasts longer and survives cleaning better.
Warranty and Returns
The Nexis comes with a lifetime limited warranty, replacement parts sold directly, and support by chat, email, phone and text. The HydroH Pro product page does not state a warranty length. HydroH's store policy lists 365 days, with longer coverage sold as paid plans.
On returns, HydroH offers a 90-day money-back guarantee, which its page frames around seeing no health improvement after 90 days of consistent use; read its full refund policy for the conditions. The Nexis has a 60-day window (30 days in Europe); you arrange return shipping, and opened returns carry a 10% fee.
What the Extra $29 Buys
The HydroH Pro costs $169.99 and the Nexis $199. Here is what the difference gets you:
- A 10-minute result you can check, from two independent labs, instead of a claim
- A round bottle with a wide opening that is quick to clean
- An open electrode and a protected membrane
- A metal housing
- A lifetime limited warranty, replacement parts and support from a Canadian company in business since 2019
Which Should You Choose?
- Choose the Ocemida Nexis if you want a 10-minute result you can verify, a round bottle with a wide opening that is easy to clean, and a lifetime limited warranty. It makes 8,740 PPB in 10 minutes, confirmed by two labs.
- Choose the HydroH Pro if a larger 11.8 oz bottle and a lower price matter more to you, and you are comfortable buying on a claimed figure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Ocemida Nexis better than the HydroH Pro?
Yes on verified output, cleaning and warranty. The Nexis makes 8,740 PPB in one 10-minute cycle, measured by H2 Analytics. The HydroH Pro claims 8,000 PPB with no published lab report. The Nexis also has a round bottle with a wide opening and a lifetime limited warranty. The HydroH Pro holds more water and costs $29 less.
Does the HydroH Pro really make 8,000 PPB?
Its product page says 8,000 PPB in 10 minutes and 4,000 PPB in 5 minutes, but it names no lab and links no report, so we could not verify it. The only HydroH lab report we found is for its Original bottle, and it measured lower than that bottle's page claimed.
Does the HydroH Pro have a lab report?
We found none on its product page as of November 1, 2026. If HydroH publishes one, check the lab name, the report number and the minutes behind each figure.
How much hydrogen does the Ocemida Nexis make in 10 minutes?
8,740 PPB, measured by H2 Analytics using gas chromatography (report H2AR-260616-1), and 7,700 PPB measured by H2HUBB using a Unisense microsensor. Both reports are published.
Which is easier to clean, the Nexis or the HydroH Pro?
The Nexis is built for it: a round bottle with a wide opening and rounded inside corners, so a brush reaches every surface and the electrode in one pass, plus an open electrode with no supports for scale to hide behind. HydroH does not describe the Pro's shape, opening or electrode on its page.
Which has the better warranty?
The Nexis comes with a lifetime limited warranty, and Ocemida sells replacement parts directly. The HydroH Pro page does not state a warranty length; HydroH's store policy lists 365 days, with longer plans sold separately.
What is HydroH's 90-day guarantee?
HydroH offers a 90-day money-back guarantee, which its page frames around seeing no health improvement after 90 days of consistent use. Read its full refund policy for the conditions before you buy.
Why does the Nexis cost more?
It costs $29 more, or 17%. That covers a 10-minute result backed by two published lab reports, a round bottle with a wide opening that is easy to clean, a protected membrane, a metal housing and a lifetime limited warranty.
