Why can't I just use a regular stainless steel water bottle?

No. Silicone is not plastic. It's an inert, non-toxic material made from silica (sand). How long does hydrogen stay in the water with this bottle?
In a sealed H2Stash™ filled to the top with minimal air space, you can expect to retain a meaningful concentration of dissolved hydrogen for 3-4 hours at room temperature, and even longer if the water is kept cold thanks to the vacuum insulation. For comparison, hydrogen water left in an open cup loses most of its H₂ within minutes, and plastic bottles lose it within 30-60 minutes. The key factors are minimizing headspace (fill it up), sealing it tightly, and keeping it cold. For maximum potency, drink your hydrogen water as soon as possible after generating it - the H2Stash™ buys you significantly more time, but fresher is always better.
