Thank you for choosing Ocemida. This Lifetime Limited Warranty reflects our commitment to the quality and longevity of your device. We believe an industry-leading warranty should come standard, not as a paid add-on.

This warranty applies to the original purchaser (and up to one transferred owner), and is valid only for products purchased through Ocemida's official website or authorized retail partners (including Amazon listings where Ocemida is the seller of record). It provides the protections described below in addition to any rights available under applicable consumer protection laws.

160-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

Before the warranty even begins, we want you to be fully satisfied. Every Ocemida device comes with a 60-day satisfaction guarantee from the date of delivery. If you are not satisfied for any reason, you may request a full refund.

  • Contact us within 60 days of delivery to initiate a return.
  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10 business days.
  • A 3% processing fee may apply to cover payment processor costs.
The 60-day satisfaction guarantee is limited to one claim per customer per 12-month period. It cannot be combined with a warranty claim on the same device. This guarantee does not apply to devices purchased from unauthorized resellers.

2Warranty Duration

Your device is covered by the Ocemida Lifetime Limited Warranty for the lifetime of the product, defined as a maximum of five (5) years from the original purchase date.

During this period, Ocemida will repair or replace the product if a defect in materials or workmanship occurs under normal use and the claim is submitted within the warranty period.

The term "lifetime" refers to the supported life of the product model and does not exceed five (5) years from the purchase date. Warranty claims must be submitted while the original warranty period is still active. Defects reported after the warranty period has expired are not eligible for coverage, regardless of when the defect first appeared.

Timely Reporting

Customers are responsible for reporting defects as soon as they are noticed. Warranty coverage is determined by the date the claim is submitted to Ocemida, not the date the issue first appeared. A claim submitted after the applicable coverage period has expired is not eligible for coverage, even if the customer believes the issue began during the coverage period.

Example: If a battery issue is first noticed at month 11 but the warranty claim is not submitted until month 13, the claim falls outside the 12-month battery coverage period and is not eligible for battery warranty service.

3What Is Covered

3A. Core Device (5 Years)

  • Manufacturing defects in the PEM/SPE electrolysis membrane.
  • Failure of the display or control interface during normal use.
  • Structural defects in the exterior enclosure not caused by impact, misuse, or cosmetic wear.
  • Charging port or internal electrical connection failures not caused by external damage (see Section 4 for charger-related exclusions).

3B. Battery (12 Months)

The rechargeable battery is covered for twelve (12) months from the original purchase date. This covers battery defects that result in the device failing to hold a charge, failing to power on, or failing to complete a standard electrolysis cycle, provided the device has been charged and stored according to the user manual using a standard 5V USB charger only.

Why 12 months? Lithium-ion batteries are rated for 300 to 500 full charge cycles before meaningful capacity loss occurs. With typical daily use (2 to 3 cycles per day), a properly maintained battery should perform well beyond 12 months. This coverage period protects against genuine battery defects while reflecting the natural lifecycle of lithium-ion technology. Most competitors in this category exclude the battery from coverage entirely.

3C. H2 Performance Guarantee (3 Years)

Ocemida guarantees that your device will produce above-therapeutic levels of molecular hydrogen, defined as a minimum of 2.0 ppm on a standard cycle using filtered water, for three (3) years from the original purchase date, provided the device has been maintained according to the user manual, including regular cleaning cycles and descaling.

If your device fails to meet this threshold under normal conditions during the guarantee period, it will be treated as a covered defect under this warranty.

How H2 performance is verified: Claims are verified through Ocemida's diagnostic process, which may include a video review of bubble production during a cycle or return of the device for bench testing. Readings from aftermarket hydrogen meters or blue reagent drop tests are not accepted as evidence for warranty claims, as these tools are widely recognized as inaccurate for measuring dissolved H2 concentration.

3D. Accessories (90 Days)

Charging cables, USB adapters, gaskets, seals, and other accessories included with the device are covered for ninety (90) days from the date of delivery. Coverage is limited to one replacement per accessory type within this period.

3E. One-Time Goodwill Accidental Damage (First 12 Months)

We understand that accidents happen. Within the first twelve (12) months of ownership, if your device suffers accidental physical damage (such as a drop, impact, or crack), Ocemida will offer a one-time goodwill discount on a replacement device. This is not a free replacement, but a significant reduction from the current retail price, typically 50% or more off.

  • Limited to one incident per device lifetime.
  • Requires photo evidence of the damage.
  • The replacement device carries its own full warranty starting from the date of the replacement purchase.
  • The goodwill offer is valid for 30 days from the date it is issued.
The goodwill accidental damage program is offered at Ocemida's sole discretion. It is intended for genuine accidents and does not cover intentional damage, loss, theft, or damage resulting from commercial or institutional use.

3F. Coverage Summary

Component Duration Coverage Limit
Electronics, display, charging port, rechargeable battery 12 months 1 repair or replacement
SPE/PEM  5 years 1 repair, replacement, or PRP offer
H2 performance (minimum 2.0 ppm) 3 years 1 repair or replacement
Accessories (cable, gaskets, seals) 90 days 1 per accessory type
Goodwill accidental damage 12 months 1 incident, discounted replacement
Overall Coverage Limit: Warranty coverage for the core device is limited to a maximum of one (1) repair or replacement during the warranty period. A replacement device is covered for the remainder of the original warranty term only and does not initiate a new warranty period, except when a new device is purchased through the Preferred Replacement Program (see Section 6), which carries its own independent warranty.

4What Is Not Covered

4A. Battery and Power Exclusions

  • Gradual battery capacity loss that occurs naturally over time through normal charge cycles. All lithium-ion batteries degrade with use; reduced runtime alone is not a defect.
  • Battery or electronics damage caused by use of a charger that delivers voltage above 5V, including laptop chargers, MacBook adapters, fast-charge adapters rated above 5V, or any non-standard USB power source. Only use a standard 5V USB charger.
  • Battery damage caused by leaving the device fully discharged for extended periods (30+ days) without a maintenance charge.
  • Battery claims submitted after the 12-month battery coverage period, even if the overall device warranty is still active. Coverage is determined by the date the claim is submitted to Ocemida (see Section 2, Timely Reporting).

4B. Physical and Environmental

  • Cosmetic damage, including scratches, dents, discoloration, or worn finishes that do not affect functional performance.
  • Damage caused by drops, impacts, crushing, or physical abuse (unless claimed under the one-time goodwill accidental damage program within the first 12 months).
  • Liquid damage to the electronic base. The base is water-resistant but not waterproof; submerging or soaking the base voids coverage.
  • Damage caused by freezing temperatures, extreme heat (above 45C / 113F), or electrical surges.

4C. Water Quality and Maintenance

  • Scale buildup caused by repeated use of high-TDS water (above 300 ppm) or failure to perform routine descaling as described in the user manual.
  • Damage resulting from use of non-potable water, sparkling water, flavored beverages, or any liquid other than plain tap or filtered water.
  • Damage caused by failure to follow cleaning and maintenance instructions, including the recommended cleaning cycle frequency.
  • H2 performance claims where the device has not been maintained according to the user manual (regular cleaning, proper water quality).

4D. General Exclusions

  • Damage resulting from repair, modification, or disassembly by anyone other than an Ocemida-authorized technician.
  • Products used for commercial, rental, institutional, or non-personal purposes.
  • Products purchased from unauthorized resellers or through channels not officially authorized by Ocemida. Authorized channels include ocemida.com and Amazon listings where Ocemida is the seller of record. Third-party sellers on Amazon and other marketplaces are not authorized unless explicitly stated on ocemida.com.
  • Issues caused by use with third-party attachments, filters, or accessories not sold or approved by Ocemida.
  • Loss or theft of the device.
Charger Warning: Ocemida generators are designed to be charged with a standard 5V USB power source only. Using a laptop charger, MacBook adapter, or any power source that delivers 9V, 12V, 15V, or 20V can permanently damage the battery and internal electronics. This type of damage is not covered under warranty. A simple USB wall adapter or a computer's USB-A port at 5V is the correct power source.

5Battery and Electronics Quick Reference

Because battery and electronics issues are the most common support inquiries, this table summarizes how specific scenarios are classified.

6Preferred Replacement Program

When a warranty claim involves a battery failure, internal electronics malfunction, or another issue where traditional repair would require shipping the device back and forth for inspection, Ocemida may offer the Preferred Replacement Program as an alternative to the standard repair process.

Under this program, instead of waiting for a return shipment, inspection, and repair, the customer receives a one-time, deeply discounted offer on a brand-new, current-generation hydrogen water generator. This replacement ships directly to the customer and comes with all standard accessories, a factory-fresh PEM membrane, and its own full independent warranty term.

Why this program exists: Battery and electronics repairs require specialized equipment and are costly to perform. The round-trip shipping, diagnostic inspection, and component-level repair process can take weeks. The Preferred Replacement Program gets a brand-new device into the customer's hands quickly, with a new membrane, new battery, and the latest improvements, often at a fraction of full retail price.

In-Warranty Claims

  • Available for verified warranty claims involving battery or internal electronics failures.
  • The discounted price is provided on a case-by-case basis and represents the deepest available discount, typically well below half the current retail price.
  • The replacement device is a brand-new unit from the current product lineup and may be a newer generation than the original device.
  • The replacement device carries its own full independent warranty starting from the date of the replacement purchase.
  • This offer is limited to one (1) Preferred Replacement per original warranty claim and is non-transferable.
  • Participation is optional. Customers may choose to proceed with the standard repair or replacement process described in Section 8 instead.

Out-of-Warranty Loyalty Pricing

Registered Ocemida owners whose warranty has expired are eligible for loyalty pricing on a new-generation device. While not as deep as the in-warranty discount, loyalty pricing offers a meaningful reduction from retail and is our way of keeping long-term customers in the Ocemida family.

  • Requires a registered device and prior purchase history with Ocemida.
  • Limited to one loyalty-priced device per registered device.
  • The loyalty offer is valid for 60 days from the date it is issued.
Both in-warranty and loyalty Preferred Replacement offers are issued at Ocemida's sole discretion and are subject to product availability. Offers cannot be combined with other promotions, discount codes, or applied retroactively.

7Warranty Transferability

The Ocemida Lifetime Limited Warranty may be transferred one (1) time to a new owner, free of charge. This makes your Ocemida device fully giftable and helps maintain its value if you choose to pass it along.

  • The new owner must register the transfer at ocemida.com/warranty-activation or contact us within 30 days of receiving the device.
  • A copy of the original purchase receipt and a serial number is required.
  • The warranty term does not restart. The new owner receives the remaining coverage from the original purchase date.
  • Only one transfer is permitted per device. After one transfer, the warranty becomes non-transferable.
  • The one-time goodwill accidental damage program (Section 3E) does not transfer. Only the core device warranty and H2 performance guarantee transfer to the new owner.

8Warranty Remedies

If a covered defect is confirmed, Ocemida will provide one of the following remedies, at Ocemida's sole discretion:

  • Repair of the device using new or refurbished parts.
  • Replacement with the same or an equivalent current model.
  • Preferred Replacement Program offer (see Section 6), where applicable for battery or electronics claims.
  • If repair or replacement is not reasonably available, a prorated store credit based on the schedule below.

Prorated Store Credit Schedule

When a prorated store credit is the appropriate remedy, the credit amount is calculated as a percentage of the original purchase price based on when the claim is approved:

Year 1 Year 2 Year 3 Year 4 Year 5
100% 80% 70% 60% 50%

For example, if a claim is approved in year 4 on a device originally purchased for $200, the prorated store credit would be $120 (60%).

Store credit is issued in the form of a single-use Ocemida gift code. Credits expire 90 days from the date of issue, have no cash value, cannot be combined with other promotions or discount codes, and can only be applied toward full-price items on ocemida.com. Ocemida reserves the right to determine the appropriate remedy based on the nature of the defect, product availability, and serviceability.

9Owner Responsibilities

9A. Registration

Products must be registered at ocemida.com/warranty-activation within 30 days of purchase to be eligible for warranty service. Registration is required regardless of where the product was purchased. Unregistered devices are not eligible for warranty coverage.

9B. Proof of Purchase

  • Provide proof of purchase (original order confirmation or receipt) from an authorized Ocemida retailer.
  • Provide the registered serial number associated with the device.

9C. Care and Maintenance

  • Use the product according to the instructions in the user manual, including water type, cleaning, charging, and storage guidelines.
  • Use only a standard 5V USB charger to charge the device. Do not use laptop chargers, fast-charge adapters above 5V, or other high-voltage power sources.
  • Perform routine cleaning cycles as recommended in the user manual to prevent mineral scaling and maintain H2 performance.
  • Store the device with a partial charge (40-60%) if it will not be used for more than 30 days. Recharge to 40-60% at least once every 30 days during extended storage.
  • Do not attempt to repair, modify, or disassemble the device, as doing so voids warranty coverage.

9D. Claims Documentation

  • Provide photos or video if requested to help diagnose the issue.
  • Provide the type of charger used with the device, if relevant to the claim.
  • Complete any reasonable troubleshooting steps requested by the support team before a repair, replacement, or credit is approved.

10How to Make a Claim

Do not return the product to the retailer. Please contact Ocemida directly with the following information:

  • Your order number and serial number
  • Description of the issue, including when it first appeared and how the device was being used
  • A short video or photo showing the defect
  • The type of charger used with the device (if relevant to the claim)
  • Report issues promptly. Warranty eligibility is based on the date your claim is submitted. Waiting to report a known issue may result in the claim falling outside the applicable coverage window (see Section 2).

Shipping: For claims that require the device to be returned to Ocemida for inspection, Ocemida will cover shipping costs both ways (inbound and return) for confirmed covered defects within Canada and the continental United States. Pre-paid shipping labels are issued only after a claim has been reviewed and approved with supporting photo or video evidence. Customers outside Canada and the continental US are responsible for inbound shipping costs; Ocemida will cover the return shipment.

If the claim is determined to be not covered under this warranty after inspection, shipping costs for return of the device are the responsibility of the customer.

11Troubleshooting and Inspection

Before approving a repair, replacement, or credit under this Warranty, Ocemida may require reasonable troubleshooting steps to verify the reported issue.

These steps may include:

  • Providing additional photos or video showing the issue.
  • Performing basic diagnostic steps provided by our support team (e.g., trying a different 5V charger, running a cleaning cycle, testing with different water).
  • Running a full electrolysis cycle on video to assess hydrogen output for H2 Performance Guarantee claims.
  • Returning the product to Ocemida for inspection when necessary.

If inspection determines that the issue is not covered under this Warranty, the product may be returned to the customer. Shipping costs for non-covered claims are the responsibility of the customer.

Devices that show evidence of significant mineral scaling, non-approved liquid use, overvoltage charger damage, unauthorized modification, or lack of routine maintenance will be classified as normal wear or misuse rather than a manufacturing defect, and will not be eligible for warranty coverage.

12Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ocemida's liability under this Warranty is limited to the remedies described above. Ocemida shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the product. In no event shall Ocemida's total liability under this warranty exceed the original purchase price paid by the original purchaser.

Nothing in this Warranty limits any consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
