Common Mistakes That Void Your Warranty and Ruin Your Device
Avoid these common mistakes to protect your device, your warranty, and your investment.
A hydrogen water bottle is a precision device with an electrochemical generator inside. It is not a regular water bottle. Treating it like one is the single biggest reason people damage their units, void their warranties, and end up frustrated. This guide covers every mistake we see, so you can avoid all of them.
Do Not Overfill
Fill only to the MAX line. Overfilling blocks the pressure release valve at the top of the bottle. If there is no max line, leave some air gap so the cap is not submerged in water. When excess hydrogen gas cannot escape, internal pressure builds and can damage the seals or the generator plate.
Do Not Run It Dry
Never start a generation cycle with an empty or nearly empty bottle. The electrodes need to be fully submerged in water. Running dry causes the plates to overheat, which can permanently damage the membrane and generator.
Only Use Distilled or Purified Water
Tap water, mineral water, flavored water, juice, tea, coffee, sparkling water, and any other liquid will slowly damage your hydrogen water bottle. Minerals and additives coat the electrode plates and clog the membrane. Over time this permanently degrades hydrogen output and will void your warranty. Use distilled or reverse-osmosis purified water only.

Why Temperature Matters
Your hydrogen water bottle contains sensitive electronics, a lithium battery, and a PEM (proton exchange membrane). Extreme temperature changes causes condensation inside the electronics and can crack the membrane. Extreme heat warps seals and risks battery failure. Keep your bottle at normal room temperature at all times.
Do Not Submerge in Water
The base of your bottle houses the battery, circuit board, and charging port. It is not waterproof. Never submerge the bottle in a sink, basin, or bucket of water.
Do Not Rinse Under Running Water
Running water from a faucet can seep into the seams and reach the electronics. When washing the exterior, use a damp cloth only. Keep the outside of the bottle dry at all times.
Keep the USB Port Clean and Dry
The USB-C charging port is the most vulnerable entry point for moisture. After every use, make sure no water has dripped near it. If you notice moisture around the port, let the bottle air-dry completely before plugging in a charger. A single drop of water in the charging port can short the circuit board.
Use Only a Standard 5V/1A Wall Adapter
Do not charge your hydrogen water bottle from a laptop USB port, a computer USB port, a fast charger, a quick-charge adapter, or a high-wattage USB-C charger. These sources deliver inconsistent or excessive voltage that can damage the battery and charging circuit. Use only a basic 5V/1A wall adapter (the kind that comes with most small electronics). This is one of the top reasons for premature device failure.
✗ Never Use
✓ THE ONLY 3 Safe to Use
Do Not Scratch, Rub, or Brush the Generator
The electrode plates and PEM membrane inside the bottle are extremely delicate. Never use a bottle brush, sponge, cloth, or any physical tool to scrub the interior generator surface. Even light rubbing can scratch the platinum coating or tear the membrane. Cleaning should only be done by soaking with the approved solutions listed above. Let the solution do the work. Rinse with distilled water afterward.
Do Not Disassemble
There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Attempting to open the base, remove the generator, or access the battery will void your warranty immediately and risks damaging components beyond repair.
Do Not Drop or Impact
A hard drop can crack the electrolytic chamber, misalign the electrode, or damage the internal seal. Always handle your bottle with care and store it on a stable surface.
Do Not Leave in Direct Sunlight
Prolonged sun exposure heats the battery and degrades the internal components. Do not leave your bottle in a car, on a windowsill, or outdoors in the sun for extended periods.
Do Not Share With Children Unsupervised
This is a powered electronic device, not a toy. Children should not handle, charge, or operate the bottle without adult supervision. Small parts and the electrical components pose safety risks.
Take Care of Your Bottle and It Takes Care of You
Following these guidelines keeps your device performing at peak output for years to come.
